FAQ
Can I participate with my own product?
If your product falls into one of the task categories, you can choose it and offer your product formulation. In order to do this, you should contact your moderator.
Can we participate as a team?
Sure, you can. You can and should invite the team, especially if you work together and know how to develop the product quickly and efficiently. In this case participants must specify the team name when registering.
Should I come with my own idea/project only?
You can come with your own idea/project, that falls into the task categories from our partners, or choose one of the partner's tasks.
What languages of programming should I know to participate?
If you do Smart contracts, you need to know Solidity. If you plan to develop core blockchain, you will need the languages for basic development (C, C++, C#). If you deal with web interfaces, you require the knowledge of php, javascript, phyton.
What are the selection criteria to winners and prize holders?
If you have a complete solution, a documented code that works more clearly and as strong product - you are likely to win the prize. Besides it is important to submit assignments on time, as this also has an impact on the final counting. The competent jury will evaluate the result of your work.
Do I need to learn something in advance?
You can learn open-source Blockchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum codes and other protocols. You also can learn the Solidity language for the Smart Contracts development. It is better to use the tools that are suitable for the development of relevant tasks and the ones you have a longtime confidence working with. Learning something from a scratch and making a successful product will be quite difficult.
I am a newcomer. Can I participate?
If you are new to programming, it will be difficult for you to participate. If you are an experienced programmer but you have not participated in the hackathon yet, no problems should occur. Anyway just go ahead! There is a chance for everyone!
I would like to observe without participating. Is it possible?
You can register to receive our newsletters about our subsequent hackathons in future, as well as you will be invited to each Hackathon offline results counting that will conflate useful content and invited experts and speakers. The Hackathon is though open for registered participants only.
What is the procedure of the hackathon results counting?
The counting will be held offline with online broadcasting. The Grand Hackathon will take place in Asia.
